Rick Roberge began his sales/sales management career while in college
and spent the 70's and early 80's working in direct sales to consumers
and homeowners. During his transition from consumer sales to
business-to-business sales, he realized that the techniques and tools
used by a professional salesperson with a prospective customer were
exactly the same techniques and tools that were used by a professional
debt collector with a debtor. In 1987, he founded The Commercial
Collection Agency and quickly developed a reputation as an avid
"creditors rights" advocate. Over the years, he has personally
represented hundreds of clients against thousands of debtors. In the
process, he realized that every time he was asked to collect a debt, he
had to resell the product or service or finish the process left
incomplete by the salesperson.
At David Kurlan & Associates, Rick uses his experience to concentrate on
helping individual salespeople, professional service providers, and sole
proprietors:
prospect for better customers
speed up the sales process while creating a complete "meeting of the
minds" between salesperson and customer
close effectively and completely
strategically manage relationships with clients to develop loyalty and a
lifetime of referral business.
Rick is a "hands on" trainer and coach, so he can often be seen working
alongside David Kurlan & Associates' clients at trade shows, honing their
skills at networking events, developing telephone technique on conferenced
"live" sales calls, and role playing and debriefing "real life" sales
situations.
Rick attended Worcester Polytechnic Institute and holds a BBA from
Assumption College.
He and his wife, Elaine, have two grown sons and have homes in Jefferson, MA
and Kennebunkport, ME. |
